Brothers Basov’s art as scribes of books and drawing-artists (1580—1630 years)
Abstract
Creativity of ancient-Russian scribes of handwritten books and draughtsmen of book miniaturesheadpieces often dissolves in a complex work, requiring the participation of other masters. The level of drawing-artists’ skill can be judged primarily on bookish heritage. The author reveals the activity of brothers Basov who created true masterpieces of handwriting book art.
