THE ANALYTICAL SOLUTION FOR THE TASK OF METRIC THREAD MILLING ON CNC MACHINE

Abstract

The paper describes the analytical solution for the task of thread milling on
CNC machines. Solution for single- and three-start thread describes the deviations
of real profile from ideal one. They can reach up to 60 mkm that causes the
included angle increase up to one degree. For these cases it is recommended to
decrease corresponding angle of cutter insert profile.
