Abstract

In this section were reviewed experimental and theoretical studies of the behavior
of the oil film in the conjugation of “cylinder – piston ring”. Besides were
reviewed the simplified models for calculation the thickness of the oil layer, and
the model of piston ring with possible movement in the piston ring groove.
