Abstract

The article analyzes the structure and volume of timber export, studies the formation of customs control of timber in the Russian Federation and the prohibitions and restrictions applied to their export, reveals particular features of declaring, reviews the judicial practice of timber export to establish more frequent offenses, and develops the recommendations for improving customs control of export of timber. The findings of the study provide an opportunity to identify ways to improve and enhance the efficiency of customs control, implemented by the customs authorities of Russia in the export of timber, and to ensure the overall economic security of the Russian Federation. The results of the work can be used in the implementation of customs assistance with law enforcement agencies, sanitary and currency control authorities, in the development and adjustment of regulations in the field of customs control of timber export from the Russian Federation. The economic significance of the work is to develop a trend aimed at ensuring the economic security of Russia, based on improving the efficiency of customs control over the export of timber from the Russian Federation, carried out by customs authorities.
