Abstract

The idea of formation in the context of the post-industrial society of new modality of labor cost – creative
cost, which is considered by the authors as a historically specific modality of labor cost, connected with a
change of inward nature of labor in the context of post-industrial development, is formulated in the paper. The
essence of such a change in the inward nature of labor is related with an increase in its structure and content of
the creativity role.
The authors substantiate the point that the development of scientific ideas about the nature and the labor
character is caused by the ratio of reproductive and creative components in its contents. Based on a comparative
analysis of hedonic and social theoretical and methodological approaches to investigation of this problem
the value of spiritual, moral and intellectual aspects in the formation of the phenomenon of creative value is
revealed in the article.
The task of qualitative, not just quantitative analysis of labor is formulated in the context of the retrospective
analysis of theoretical and methodological approaches to the study of the phenomenon of value in
terms of industrial, post-industrial and innovative economy.
