REVERSE LOGISTICS: DEFINITION AND INTERNAL FLOWS

Abstract

This article analyzes the definition of reverse logistics in foreign and Russian literature, highlights the problem of indistinct concepts in Russian science in the form of several terms that define one phenomenon, namely: retro logistics, return logistics, reverse logistics. Also, reverse logistics is distinguished as a section of logistics with similar material, financial and information flows. The author gives his definition of the financial and information flows in reverse logistics. As part of the definition of financial flow in reverse logistics, a brief description of the reverse processes in logistics is given, indicating the existence of a supporting and consolidating function of financial flow in the reverse logistics system. The definition of reverse material flow is refined and supplemented.
