PROFITABILITY OF PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Abstract

The article reviews the topical issue of an increase in profitability of municipal public transit by combining routes into lots when conducting purchases to carry out maintenance work on routes at a regulated tariff, or when holding open tenders for the right to receive certificates of transportation on routes at unregulated tariffs. Normative regulation of combined routes into lots is considered. Analysis of research related to the profitability of passenger traffic is carried out. Options for combination of routes into lots in order to solve the problem of an increase in profitability of municipal public transit are proposed.
