LOGISTICAL APPROACHES TO THE OPTIMIZATION OF THE MOTOR VEHICLES SYSTEM OF CHELYABINSK REGION

Abstract

The article deals with the problems in the motor vehicles system of the region and the street-road network
of the city of Chelyabinsk. The main indicators of the Chelyabinsk region and road infrastructure are
given. The length of automobile roads passing in the region is marked. The basic network of roads is shown.
The main indicators of federal highways passing through the Chelyabinsk region are enlightened. The calculation
formula of traffic lines quantity is presented. The necessary quantity of traffic lines in federal highways
passing in the Chelyabinsk region in the framework of effective development of international transport
corridors is analyzed and reflected. The significance of regional and local roads is emphasized. The characteristics
of Chelyabinsk ring road are given. The level of automobilization of residents of Chelyabinsk is

shown. The traffic jams on federal highways and street-road network of the city of Chelyabinsk are discovered.
The reasons of traffic jams appearance are considered, and the ways of their solving are offered. The
problem of parking places shortage is enlightened. The necessity of the redistribution of transport flows is
proved. The key highways of the city are considered. On their base the formation of inner transport rings is
planned. The necessity on further development of Chelyabinsk underground system with the purpose to reduce
the load of roads of the city of Chelyabinsk is marked. The conclusion on the necessity of development
of effective transport logistics and modernization of federal, regional and local highways, as well as the
street-road network of the city of Chelyabinsk is conducted. The importance of the increase of federal highways
carrying capacity putting into international transport corridors is emphasized. The necessity of the usage
of geographic location of Chelyabinsk region for effective realization of transport potential of the country is
proved.
