Abstract

In the present study the possibility of thiodiacetate anions intercalation into the magnesium-aluminium layered double hydroxides by means of coprecipitation and anion-exchange methods was investigated. The intercalation of thiodiacetate anions was confirmed by means of X-ray powder diffraction method and Raman spectroscopy. The obtained materials are promising sorbents for heavy metal cations.
