Abstract

The article considers the practice of using information from open sources against the background of lack of all necessary spatial data. At the same time, for the last ten years Rosreestr has provided actual geospatial dataset required for most town-planning activities. The obligation and priority of using the created materials are fixed by law. The use of unified electronic cartographic background helps to avoid different conflicts at the stage of urban development information elaboration. The official state structures can use state geospatial materials in the order of interagency cooperation.
