ADDITIVE FOR WINTER CONCRETING OF CAST-IN-PLACE STRUCTURES
Abstract
The article highlights the results of research on the use of antifreeze concrete additive
as the effective agent for winter concreting. The antifreeze agent is a by-product of dimethyldiethylene
oxide particularly trimethylcarbinol fraction of cubic residue resulted by dimethyl-
diethylene oxide distillation. Introduction of the additive into concrete mixture guarantees
intensive concrete strength development up to –37 °C.
