Abstract

The object of the given research is the method of controlling the technical operation of industrial
buildings. The method is based on the structures’ condition survey and the determination of
damages resulting from various scenarios of accidents. The survey results are drawn up in the form
maps of zoning of the structures as per their technical condition. Then a damage map taking into account
material and social losses from possible accidents is made. The affected zones are found for
each accident scenario. These maps are placed over the plan of a building and get the zoning as per
repair priority. An example of compiling these maps for controlling of the technical operation of industrial
building is given.
It is shown that the survey errors can be of two types. The errors are in the wrong definition of
the technical condition category of structures. The errors result in accidents or unnecessary expenses
on reinforcing the structures. Indicators for evaluating a specialized organization and service department
are proposed for taking into account possible survey errors. An example of a quantitative
assessment of the accident risks taking into account the errors of the survey and technical operation
is given.
The technical result is the improvement of the operational reliability of buildings and reducing
the damages risks in case of building accidents.
